Retuning for his 3rd Wakely, Frank Dolen knew what to expect.  So he didn't think it would be a problem to run a 50K two weeks before hand.  Wife Betty couldn't join us this year because she and some friends were off on a multi-day canoe trip.  It must be tough to get old.

Maybe it was over training, or maybe Frank was hurdling too many blowdowns instead of going around them, but in the end, Frank took a few falls over the course of his 13 hour adventure. In the process Frank broke a rib.  This might explain his "Tower of Pisa" lean at the finish.
